Dr. John Mark Froiland is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University. He has published over 55 scientific articles and book chapters on parenting, parent involvement, parent-school relationships, teacher-student relationships, intrinsic motivation, expectations, behavioral engagement, happiness, and student learning. He has been interviewed extensively in the media and was recently featured in The Wall Street Journal. He has developed an intervention that supports autonomy supportive parent-child communication, positive emotions toward learning, and intrinsic motivation to learn among children. He has also developed a comprehensive positive psychology intervention that supports the development of lifetime gratitude and positive emotions toward learning among college students. He is on the editorial board of three scientific journals: Journal of Attention Disorders, Educational Psychology, and School Psychology International. Dr. Froiland consults with schools on various aspects of positive education and engagement.
Bo Hejlskov Elven is a Clinical Neuropsychologist based in Sweden. He is a lecturer and author, best known for his work on how low-impact psychological methods, such as low-impact treatment can be used in the treatment of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Developmental Disorders, Abuse or Psychiatric Conditions. In 2009, Elven was awarded the Puzzle Piece of the Year prize by the Swedish Autism Society for his lecturing and counselling on challenging behaviour. Currently he is also a Ph.D student at Birmingham City University.
